The Electrochemical Society

The mission of The Electrochemical Society is to advance theory and practice at the forefront of electrochemical and solid state science and technology, and allied subjects.

To encourage research, discussion, critical assessment, and dissemination of knowledge in these fields, the Society holds meetings, publishes scientific papers, fosters training and education of scientists and engineers, and cooperates with other organizations to promote science and technology in the public interest.

The vision of ECS is to be recognized as the steward of electrochemical and solid state science and technology. By creating uninhibited availability of the science through open access, ECS can Free the Science, and accelerate scientific discovery and innovation, leading the community as the advocate, guardian, and facilitator of our technical domain.

Czechoslovak Student Chapter

The main idea of the Czechoslovak Student Chapter, founded at our department, is to share information about new electrochemistry trends and techniques not only between students from different universities in a single country, but also from both the Czech and Slovak Republic. In an effort to sustain the Chapter, public electrochemical workshops and webinars will be organized. A student will present the results of their research and discuss the problems with the colleagues of the same age. The electrochemical workshops with the name “Students for Students” will also be promoted during the meetings of the Czech and Slovak Chemical Society and will be open to the public.

Are you a Slovak or Czech student or a young scientist interested in electrochemistry?
