Veronika Niščáková is a researcher in chemical sciences at the Department of Physical Chemistry, Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She graduated Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in 2018, Master´s degree in Physical Chemistry in 2020 and PhD. Studies in 2024 at the same university. In her bachelor and diploma theses she focused on preparation of an electrochemical nonemzymatic sensor for the determination of glucose by modification of the Au microelectrode with gold nanoparticles. Currently, her main research interest focuses on development of new composite cathode materials based on sulphur with conductive additives for post lithium ion batteries. She started work also at new topic-redox flow batteries. She is a co-author of and author of some papers in international journals.  She participated in student scientific conferences several times, and results of her research was also presented on manyothersscientific conferences. Currently she is Principal investigator of the one multilateral APVV project and also a co-researcher of some APVV, VEGA, VVGS PF, SKEBA and IPCEI project and one project from Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia – SUNFLOWERS. She is member of The Electrochemical Society (ECS), and Slovak Chemical Society. She is active not only as aresearcher, but also in university life and she is member of the universityChorus Universitatis Šafarikianae choir.
