Andrea Straková Fedorková studied chemistry at the Pavol Jozef Safarik University in Kosice. She received a Ph.D. in analytical chemistry (2010) and habilitation in physical chemistry (2016) from the Comenius University in Bratislava. She is an Associate Professor at Pavol Jozef Safarik University. Her research interests are focused on electrode materials for Li-ion batteries, nano-composites, their preparation and study of the redox properties, structural characteristics, stability, safety and environmental compatibility. She is the author and co-author of 22 research papers published in international scientific journals which received 213 registered citations. She is laureate of the Award of the President of Slovak Republic Ivan Gašparovič Students´ personality of Slovakia 2010: “The best student in Slovak Republic” and L’Oréal-UNESCO For Women in Science Award 2018 Slovakia.
