prof. Dr. Andrej Oriňak was graduated from university in 1985. Then he started an expertise in chromatography. Used chromatography with pyrolysis injector and retention indices for identification of pyrolysate analyte. Later on he started coupling chromatography with TOF – SIMS and preparation of functional surfaces for analytical applications. His first PhD students worked with SERS on nanostructured surface for enhacing analytical signal. The major of his scientific carrier devoted to preparation of catalysts for conversion of methane to hydrogen; in this research he obtained financial grant by JRC Petten. In the next , conversion of carbon dioxide to usefull chemicals catalysts was in the middle of his interest, which lasts to meantime. Recently, he open new research on receptor – trageted cancer therapy. He is author of 108 scientific CC publications with citation response about 1500 SCI citations. He absolved several visiting stays at prominent. abroad. Last but not least he is a successful investigator joined in national and international research projects. He is laureate of the Dean´s Prize (PF UPJŠ, Košice) for Science and Research in year 2010.
