Frederika Chovancová is a second-year PhD student in the Department of Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. She graduated with a Bachelor´s degree in Biology – Chemistry and a Master´s in Physical Chemistry at Pavol Jozef Šafarik University. Her doctoral dissertation aims to research the development of electrochemical sensors for bioanalytes determination. She is currently working on the development of a non-enzymatic nanosensor for biomedical applications under the supervision of Dr. Šišoláková.

During her studies, she attended Erasmus Internships in the Centre of Polymer Systems in Zlín, Czech Republic and at Technical University in Vienna, Austria. She is a co-author of several scientific articles, published in a CC journals and her scientific results were presented at domestic and foreign conferences.

She is a co-researcher of NATO project. She also leads a PhD. project – Electrochemical detection of cholesterol funded by the EU NextGenerationEU program through the Recovery and Resilience Plan for Slovakia.
