Veronika Niščáková is a fourth-year PhD student of Department of Physical Chemistry at the Faculty of Science, Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice. Her main research interest focuses on development of new composite cathode materials based on sulphur with conductive additives for post lithium ion batteries. Her doctoral dissertation aims to research a safer and low cost battery with higher capacity than today´s lithium batteries. She graduated Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry at Pavol Jozef Šafárik University in Košice in 2018 and Master´s degree in Physical Chemistry in 2020 at the same university. In her bachelor and diploma theses she focused on preparation of an electrochemical nonemzymatic sensor for the determination of glucose by modification of the Au microelectrode with gold nanoparticles. She is a co-author of an article Gold Microelectrodes Decorated by Spike‐Like Nanostructures as a Promising Non‐Enzymatic Glucose Sensor in journal Electroanalysis.  She is active not only as a researcher, but also in university life.  She participated in student scientific conferences several times, and results of her research was also presented on many others scientific conferences. Currently she is a co-researcher of the three APVV projects, VEGA project and VVGS PF project. She is member of The Electrochemical Society (ECS), and Slovak Chemical Society. She is a member of the university Chorus Universitatis Šafarikianae choir.
